Red Ball
Tools: Red Tennis Balls, 36 foot court, up to 23” rackets
Red Ball 1 (Ages 4 - 6) who had have not taken a Red Ball Class
Mission: Start on the road to learn how to play tennis by learning how to rally with forehand, backhands and serve with your friends. Players will learn through a series of stations and rallying drills.
Red Ball 2 (Ages 6-8)
Mission: Learn what it takes to compete. We will teach you the new tools you can use on the court like overhand serves and cross court shots, along with short and deep.
Red Ball 3 (Ages 7-8)
Mission: Players at this level must be able to rally, demonstrate overhead serves, and the ability to direct their groundstrokes.
Orange Ball
Tools: Orange Tennis Balls, 60 foot court, 25” rackets
Ages: 8-10 years (Level 1 - Beginner to Level 2 - Intermediate)
Mission: Learn what it takes to be an All Court Warrior. At this stage, you will learn how to attack and defend all 3 zones of the court and how to construct winning point combinations in both singles, doubles and team play.
Green Ball
Tools: Green Tennis Balls, 78 Foot court, 26” or 27” rackets
Ages 10-12 years (Level 1 Beginner to Level 2 - Intermediate)
Mission: Develop on court weapons and strategy and learn how to use them to maximum effect.
Yellow Ball
Tools: Yellow Tennis Balls, 78 Foot Court, 26” or 27” rackets
Ages: 11-13 years (Level 1 Beginner/Intermediate to Level 2 - Intermediate/Advanced)
Misson: If you are inspired to play high school varsity tennis, this is the group that will teach you the skills to be successful at the high school level.
High School
Tools: Yellow Tennis Balls, 78 Foot Court, 27” rackets
Ages: High School
Mission: For High School Players looking to improve their stroke production, tactics, strategy and footwork for maximum performance in the spring.
New England Tennis Academy Programs
Junior NETA
Tools: Orange, Green and Yellow Tennis Balls, 23”, 25”,26” or 27” rackets
Ages: 7-12 years (Orange 7-10 years old to Green 9-11 years old to Yellow 10-12 years old)
Misson: Many of the Orange, Green and Yellow fundamentals are in place for these players to compete in USTA Junior Team Tennis, USTA and UTR Tournaments. These kids have chosen tennis as their #1 sport.
NETA Silver and Gold
Tools: Yellow Tennis Balls and 27” rackets
Ages: 11-18 year old (11-14 Silver, 13-18 Gold)
Mission: To continue to improve their skills to increase their ranking (in USTA tournament) or rating (in UTR Tournaments). Usually a commitment of 2 clinics, a private lesson once a week and tournaments at least 1 time per month or more.
