New England Tennis Academy for Tournament Players | Babson Park

Designed for tournament players ages 12 and up, the NETA Silver & Gold program delivers elite-level training for competitive juniors ready to advance their game, sharpen their tactics, and elevate their competitive mindset. Campers must be active tournament players and eligible to compete at the level (Silver or Gold) in which they register.

For over 50 years, the Longfellow Clubs’ New England Tennis Academy (NETA) has been the leading training ground for New England’s top juniors. Players from across the region attend for the intensity, the high level of competition, and the coaching that builds both skill and character. Led by a world-class coaching team—including Laury Hammel, Art Coleman, Eric Westcott, George Conlin, and Phil Parrish—the program combines technical mastery, tactical development, and the mental skills required for high-level competition.


From video stroke analysis and clay court play to advanced doubles tactics, NETA Silver & Gold is designed to unlock your player’s full potential.

What Your Camper Will Learn: 

  • Effective and efficient stroke production
  • Advanced strategic thinking and the Six Points of Baseline Strategy
  • Court coverage, foot speed, balance, and anticipation
  • The art and science of self-correction and productive habit building
  • Positive thinking, strong body language, and mental toughness

Typical Day at Camp

  • Warm-up and dynamic movement preparation
  • Hand–eye coordination, footwork, and racquet-control drills
  • Technical skill development and theme-of-the-day focus
  • Competitive drilling that reinforces daily concepts
  • Break/Hydration
  • Competitive games designed to apply the theme of the day
  • Serve and return technique + targeted serving progressions
  • Match play (singles and/or doubles)
